As many of you know, this week is Transgender Awareness Week which culminates with the Transgender Day of Remembrance. There’s a whole smatternig of stuff happening this week, some of it fun and some more serious but all of it “outside the closet” and we at TCNE encourage our readers to check out the many fun things to do.
For a full list of what is happening this week for Transgender Awareness Week, click to TCNE’s Calendar. Here are a few highlights you might want to check out:
- Fenway Health is having a transgender open house so folks can checkout their health programs. We have several TCNE members who use Fenway Health’s services and they tell us Fenway’s care is very good
- TCNE is partnering with First Presbyterian Church of Waltham for our Transgender Day of Remembrance and screening of the critically acclaimed film, They Will Be Done (Saturday, 11/20)
- The Transcending Boundaries Conference is happening Friday and Saturday of this week
- Traniwreck is doing a special fund raiser show for MTPC
