Trans Family Project Shows and Tells Family Acceptance

trans family photo gallery project Family acceptance is often hard for many of us, no matter how we identify in the transgender community.  A new project may help that family acceptance.  It is called the Trans Family Project. It is an art exhibit for children, featuring photographs of a family with a transgender grandparent. It is sweet, and its impact is significant as it shows how the kids relate to their grandparent and their acceptance and can open the dialogue for others on this topic.

The exhibit will debut at the Provincetown Library on Cape Cod for Family Equality Council’s Family Week in late July. After its run in P-town, the exhibit will re-open at Boston Children’s Museum in October. We hope to travel the exhibit to other venues after that.
