First Event Virtual Red Carpet Happy Hour

7pm January 30

We had such great reactions to the Red Carpet Happy Hour at First Event last year that we’re doing it again in 2021 – just slightly different to keep us all safe. Dress to the nines, ice up your cocktail shaker, and join us all on Zoom for a happy hour and fashion show. Registration link follows these event details:

Before the Event: Gather your Sleeping Beauty Ingredients

We’ll make the most perfect drink together – the trans flag-inspired Sleeping Beauty! If you’d like to make your own, you’ll need Kinky Pink Liqueur, Vodka, Hpnotiq, and Sprite/7-Up. A cocktail shaker and martini glass are helpful but not essential. Find the full recipe here, or just follow along as we make them together.

Once you are dressed: Upload your picture for the virtual fashion show

Our red carpet event will feature a virtual fashion show – starring all of you! Post a picture of you in your red carpet outfit, along with a one-sentence description, to the First Event Facebook page before 7:15pm.

7pm: Join us on Zoom

Join us on Zoom to see and be seen! Here’s the schedule:

  • 7:00 Start. Upload your picture to the First Event Facebook page
  • 7:20 Make sleeping beauty cocktails together
  • 7:25 Toast!
  • 7:30 Virtual fashion show
  • 8:00 – 9:00 Small group conversations

TCNE Social – Every Tuesday night, and 2nd and 4th Saturday night at the clubhouse. Advanced reservation required.

Stop by for our TCNE Socials for face to face chat, free coffee and soft drinks, and a relaxed environment to get to know others in low-key, no pressure, friendly environment. Just meeting and talking with another live trans-person can be a big help – so come on down, the coffee is on us! TCNE Socials are offered free for all transgender and gender non-conforming people and allies.

ON HOLD

TCNE Newcomers’ Welcome Night – First Saturday of every month

We hold special newcomers’ welcome nights at the clubhouse, to give a moderated, guided welcome into the transgender community. These are ideal for a first night out in a safe, supporting, private, environment.

Newcomers’ nights are held at the TCNE Clubhouse (30 Guinan St. Waltham, MA) from 7-8:30 pm the first Saturday of every month. Check the calendar above to confirm the date, since we may reschedule around holidays. The evenings are free, but registration is required because we have limited capacity to comply with social distancing rules.

Any questions, please email info@tcne.org.

Virtual TCNE Social – Every Tuesday and Saturday night via Zoom

Our virtual gatherings have been so popular that we are keeping them going even as the clubhouse reopens. These are informal unmoderated gatherings from 7-9pm every Tuesday and Saturday night. Register once and attend as often as you’d like.

Volunteering and Visibility – On hold

Through a series of activities we are coordinating, we provide trans folks and their allies volunteer opportunities. These activities are vetted by our volunteer staff.  If your tired of the same old dinner out or clubbing with friends, this calendar item will be perfect for you!  Click to learn more about Volunteer and Visibility.

You’re Not Alone Discussion Group – On hold

Meets at TCNE every month on the 2nd Thursday, at 6:00 PM and we usually wrap up around 8:00 PM.  Click to learn more about You’re Not Alone.
