The success of Tri-Ess spawned many other groups, local and national in scope. One such group was the International Alliance for Male Feminism. Glenda Renee Jones was a prime mover in this group. They published an excellent little magazine. In September 1980, they merged with Gateway Guys & Gals, the publishers of The Gateway magazine. Within a year, the name was changed to Phoenix.
