TCNE (Trans Club of New England) is accepting nominations for the Board of Directors. TCNE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit that provides peer support and resources for transgender community. TCNE is the parent organization for First Event, New England’s Premier transgender conference, and is one of the longest-running transgender non-profits in the country.
To better reflect our community and our broadening mission, TCNE is encouraging nominations from trans people of color, trans men, non-binary people and allies. The board of directors is collectively responsible for the strategy, oversight, operations, and fiduciary performance of TCNE.
Nominations will be accepted through March 20. Elections will be held in April, for 2-year terms beginning in May, 2019.
The new board will be sworn in at a ceremony during our first community-wide strategic retreat. This one-day event will be open to the entire transgender community. During the retreat, we will facilitate discussions around the TCNE mission, strategy, the growing transgender community, collaboration and the tactical steps required to enhance and improve service to transgender people and their families
