A group of volunteers from TCNE and First Event joined with many others and Freedom for all Massachusetts at Boston Pride Day at Faneuil Hall. We spoke with and educated over 500 people about transgender rights and the upcoming ballot question in November. Hope to see you at Boston Pride next weekend.
In the photo we just finished canvassing for Freedom for all Massachusetts at Boston Pride Day Faneuil Hall/Quincy Market. It is very important to educate the public that there will be a ballot question in November to attempt to repeal a transgender non-discrimination law that is already on the books. WBUR/NPR performed a poll last week that showed 52% of the the people polled will vote to not repeal the law, and an unbelievable 38% will vote to repeal the law. That is not enough of a margin. Over the next 5 months all of us in Massachusetts need to get the word out to the general public on this vote. There are many opportunities to volunteer for Freedom for all Massachusetts, especially at Boston Pride next weekend. Please go to the Freedom Massachusetts Events Page and scroll down to volunteer at Pride on Saturday or the Dyke March the Friday night before.
