TCNE has opened a call for nominations for their board of directors. These are volunteer positions, that serve the transgender community. If you’ve ever felt a need or desire to invest in the transgender community in New England, being a TCNE Board Member can be a way to do that.
Here is a list of the open board positions:
Director of Finance/Treasurer – Our Director of Finance will be responsible for managing all of our financial books and filings with State and Federal government as a non-profit. We need someone trustworthy with experience in accounting, but they will be helped by a former treasurer who will introduce them to what needs to be done.
Director of IT – Our Director of IT will oversee and manage our website, make updates as needed, and be the leader for a team to update content as our programming evolves. Experience with managing websites is preferred for this position.
Director of Facilities – The Director of Facilities will be responsible for identifying spaces that can be used to bring together community. They will work with the Director of Volunteers and the Director of Outreach to coordinate our network of volunteers and to establish and run local social support groups. The Director of Faciliities will also have a long-term goal of finding TCNE a new permanent location, and working with the Director of Development to support grant proposals for sustainability funding.
Director of Development – The Director of Development is responsible for contacting our previous sponsors and nurturing those relationships for financial support. They will need to be outgoing and personable, and serve as the face of TCNE. This is a role that involves networking on the forward-facing side, and grant-writing on the internal side. They will work closely with the President and the Director of First Event, and will look for new opportunities for fundraising.
Clerk – The Clerk will be responsible for taking notes every meeting and organizing TCNE documents in the cloud.
