It has pained us to keep the TCNE clubhouse closed as the coronavirus sweeps across Massachusetts and the rest of the country. We know how important our regular gatherings are to many of you, whether they are a chance to catch up with old friends or maybe a rare chance to just be yourself in a warm, accepting environment. Our own Karen Belmore and Gabi Morgan talked about this in an incredible profile on WBUR last week.

We want to see you. We want to be together. Thanks to technology, we think we can pull this off. Please join us tomorrow night for the first ever Virtual TCNE House Party. If it’s a success we’ll look to keep our regular schedule of Tuesday and Saturday events going virtually as long as we need to keep the clubhouse closed.

If you know how to Zoom, just click this link tomorrow night around 7pm to join us.

If you are new to Zoom videoconferencing, here are some of the basics:

  • Zoom provides videoconferencing you can join from any computer, smart phone, or tablet.
  • Zoom lets you can see and hear others. If you don’t have a camera or just don’t want to be seen, that’s no problem.
  • For the best experience, download the Zoom app for your device. If you don’t have it installed, you’ll be prompted to install it when you try to join the meeting.
  • Zoom is totally free for you to use.

For more details and options, see the TCNE calendar entry for the event.
