This workshop is intended for transgender people and health care providers who care for them. We will discuss the special needs and challenges faced by transgender survivors of sexual violence. We will also provide a safe space for both trans and cis folks to get a better understand of consent, the history of sexual violence prevention work, and to begin exploring other forms of healing.
Our speaker, Jessica Rubinsky, has been working in the field of sexual and relationship, violence advocacy, training, education, and prevention for the past seven years. They founded I Believe You in 2019 to provide violence prevention consulting and workshops to individuals, communities, and companies. I Believe You focuses on sexual violence prevention and LGBTQ+ inclusion as a way to end violence in our communities.
